This is a Calfee-Mikkelsen custom bicycle fitting machine ($2,500 new). It has been used very sparingly - and gently over the past 10 years. It was designed to be used by bike shops to find the perfect dimensions for a customer’s custom bike before it was ordered. It can also be used to mimic the dimensions of a stock bicycle that has not been built yet, or to verify correct posture and stance.

Everything is adjustable on this bike, and you can easily find the exact measurements you need.

The crank arms are adjustable in length and have a bubble-level in each arm so you can see when they are horizontal. The seat tube height and angle adjustments are made with quick-release levers. The head tube length and angle is adjustable as well. By turning the crank on the front of the machine you can change the top tube length, and the bolted-on tape measure will tell you the exact length at a glance.

The adjustable Salsa Size-O-Matic ($250 new) fit stem changes length and angle in a matter of seconds - and works with all handlebar diameters. Lastly, the Cyclops fluid resistance unit on top of the rear wheel gives the rider a nice road feel to pedal against while the bicycle fit is being observed.
